Ingredients used in ashtang ghrut :
Vacha (Acorus calamus), Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia), Mandukaparni (Centella asiatica), Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis), Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), Soma (Sarcostemma viminale), Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Goghrita (cow ghee), and Goksheera (cow milk).

वचा, बाकुची, मण्डूकपर्णी, शंखपुष्पी, शतावरी, ब्राह्मी, सोम, गुडूची (गिलोय), गोघृत (गाय का घी) और गोक्षीर (गाय का दूध)।
अष्टांग घृत के फायदे:
अष्टांग घृत आयुर्वेद में आयु बढ़ाने, वाणी की क्षमता को विकसित करने तथा बुद्धि, स्मरण शक्ति और ज्ञान बढ़ाने के लिए वर्णित है। यह बच्चों के लिए तंत्रिका तंत्र को बल प्रदान करने वाले घृत के रूप में जाना जाता है। मानसिक विकास संबंधी कठिनाइयों वाले बच्चों की मस्तिष्क कोशिकाओं को मजबूत करने तथा मन को संतुलित रखने में सहायक माना जाता है।
